Hello everyone and welcome back to The Ginger Runner YouTube channel! Today, I am thrilled to bring you the 2021 Summer Shorts Showdown. This is a competition unlike any other, where we showcase some of the best short films from the trail running community. From epic adventures to personal reflections, these short films are sure to inspire and captivate you.

As always, we received an overwhelming number of submissions for this year’s Summer Shorts Showdown. After careful consideration, we have selected eight finalists that truly represent the spirit of trail running. So sit back, relax, and get ready to be transported to the majestic trails of our beautiful planet.

Our first finalist is “The Long Run” by Sarah and Derrick Lytle. This film follows Sarah as she embarks on a solo journey through the mountains, pushing her limits both physically and mentally. The stunning cinematography and powerful storytelling make this film a must-watch for any trail running enthusiast.

Next up, we have “Finding Solitude” by Alex Rossi. This film takes us on a journey through the rugged landscapes of Colorado, where Alex finds peace and clarity while running in the mountains. The breathtaking scenery and heartfelt narration make this film a truly moving experience.

The lush greenery and misty landscapes make this film a feast for the eyes.

Our fifth finalist is “Run Wild” by Sam and Jessica Chanson. This film follows Jessica as she rediscovers her love for running on the trails, finding freedom and joy in every step. The emotional journey and raw authenticity of this film will resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the transformative power of running.

Next, we have “The Ridge Run” by Mark and Rebecca Thompson. This film takes us on a thrilling adventure along a knife-edge ridge, where the stakes are high and the views are breathtaking. The adrenaline-pumping action and stunning aerial shots make this film a heart-pounding experience.

Our seventh finalist is “Beyond the Horizon” by Tom and Laura Evans.
